A Gift from Little Hands with Big Hearts

At Desired Haven Family Care, we believe that when children give, something truly beautiful happens—not just for those who receive the gift but also for the children themselves as they grow in generosity, compassion, and faith.

Recently, the Sonora Baptist Church children’s ministry demonstrated this truth in a powerful way. During their Vacation Bible School (VBS) week, the children were invited to bring offerings each day with the mission of blessing the families served through Desired Haven. With joyful hearts, these young givers faithfully brought their donations throughout the week, each child playing a part in something bigger than themselves.

At the end of the week, the children personally delivered their special gift: a beautiful new front porch furniture set for the Desired Haven Family Care Home in Springdale. This shared space, where multiple families find rest, support, and Christ-centered care, was transformed into an inviting and peaceful place for gathering and community.

The children also heard about how Desired Haven walks alongside families in crisis, providing stability, compassion, and faith-filled care. Their generosity not only blessed the home in a tangible way but also planted seeds of service, empathy, and compassion. We pray these seeds will grow in their hearts for years to come.

We are so grateful to Sonora Baptist Church for leading children to experience the joy of giving and for standing alongside Desired Haven in ministry. Together, we are building a community where families can find hope, stability, and the steadfast love of Christ.
