Faithful Hands Behind the Mission: Honoring Our Offering Box Volunteers

Each spring, something special happens behind the scenes of our ministry. It doesn't take place on a stage or in front of a crowd—but quietly, where the work of ministry is just as important. There, a faithful group of volunteers gathers twice a year, year after year, to help us prepare for one of our most impactful initiatives: our annual offering boxes.

Our Annual Offering is a statewide campaign that equips churches to share about ABCFM’s mission and raise support for our work with vulnerable children and families. This year, 106 churches in Arkansas were part of our May Annual Offering. This fall, even more churches will participate in our November Annual Offering. 

These offering boxes are more than just packages—they're a key part of how we connect with churches across the state. Each giving church receives a thoughtfully packed box filled with Annual Offering promotional materials, stories, and tools to share our mission with their congregations. These boxes help raise awareness and support for our ministries, ultimately allowing more children and families to experience the care and hope they need.

But before these boxes ever reach a church, they pass through the hands of some truly special people.

Our volunteer packing team is made up of a dedicated group of women who show up with servant hearts and joyful spirits. They give their time generously, knowing that their efforts—though often unseen—are deeply meaningful. Each box is packed with care, prayed over, and sent out as a vessel of hope, ready to inspire giving and partnership in communities across the state.

We are incredibly grateful for these women. Their role may not be front and center, but it’s essential. The offering box campaign reaches thousands of churchgoers across Arkansas, and the work begins here—with hands that are faithful. Their dedication, their love for the mission, and their willingness to serve behind the scenes make a big impact.
