Living the Call: A Christ-Centered Foster Family in Arkansas

At Arkansas Baptist Children & Family Ministries, we are continually encouraged by families who faithfully open their homes to children in need. Earlier this year, we had the joy of recognizing Angela and Randy Jones as one of our Connected Families Foster Families of the Month.

Since receiving their foster care license in 2018, Angela and Randy have welcomed more than ten foster placements into their home, along with many additional children through respite care. Each child who enters their home is met with compassion, stability, and a deep commitment to their well-being. Whether the goal is reunification or adoption, the Jones family advocates tirelessly, ensuring every child receives the support, care, and love they deserve.

Angela brings a special creativity and attentiveness to her role as a foster mom. From making custom t-shirts for special school days to caring for the unique needs of each child, she creates an environment where children feel seen and valued. Randy offers a steady, dependable presence in the home, serving as a strong role model not only for their daughter, Nyia, but also for children who may not have experienced consistent, positive relationships with godly men.

Together, Angela and Randy demonstrate the beauty of partnership in parenting. Their strong relationship allows them to serve as a united team, supporting one another as they care for both their daughter and the children placed in their home. Through every season, they continue to show up with faithfulness, grace, and a willingness to serve wherever God calls.

Now several years into their fostering journey, the Jones family remains committed to loving children well. Their home reflects the heart of Christ-centered family services, offering not only care, but hope, healing, and belonging.

We are deeply grateful for Angela and Randy’s continued faithfulness and the difference they are making in the lives of children across Arkansas. Their story is a powerful reminder that foster care is more than meeting a need, it is a ministry that changes lives for generations.

If you’ve ever considered how you might make an impact, families like the Joneses show what it looks like to step forward in faith and trust God with the journey.
